Ah! Finally. The epitome of summer on the DC Coast. Mommy's absolute favorite in the whole entire world. Maryland Blue Crab - by the bucketful. On over-sized picnic tables covered with newspaper. Cold beer. Melted butter. Old Bay seasoning like fire in the little cuts you get on your fingers from cracking open the crabs. Heavenly. Delicious. Crab Meat.
(Ains loved hammering the crabs w/ her mallet. She chowed on clam strips, clams and mussels.)
Wow, it must still be warm out your way! It kind of looks like a summer celebration instead of fall. I love crab too, but it can't look like the animal when I eat it, and if it's too much work I'm out. What a great experience for Ains!:)
