Label should read: Don't feed the toddler sugar.

Windy

OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE

The best way to keep Ainsley happy in the car...

Visit with Tonya and Dylan

Greenville, North Carolina
Cousins together - a precious thing!
They drew, read, played games, walked to the park, played with Jake, made music, ate yummy food, and even cleaned up. Pals forever.

Then, for the 5 1/2 hr ride home... a few McDonald's french fries seemed to do the trick.
HOME VIDEO TIME!
Ains on the big slide...

She adores Dyl - follows his every move.
"As you wish....."
Big jump!

Boys at play

When the cat is away... the mouse will play!

Cowgirl With Markers

Jingle Bells.... or, as Ainsley says, "Jeejee Balls"

More Presents!

Thanks Aileen, Mary and Great Grandma!!
She liked the bag of Legos as a suitcase - walked all around the house with it before getting interested in the blocks themselves. Funny little creature!

And last, but DEFINITELY not least.... her very own TRACTOR from Great Grandma Diana:

Christmas Dinner - at the LeBlanc's

Ains pretty much asked for 'buppi bie?" (aka pumpkin pie) all night long.
She is her father's daughter. :)

Christmas Morning 2009

See the teeth marks? Oh dear.

Christmas Eve 2009

This amazing church was the first Episcopal Church to be built in DC in the year 1794.  It's a beautiful historic building with old stained glass and small wooden pews.  The walls are a soft pink, and there is an old pull-bell that is rung before each service.  The large organ pipes are built into the building itself, and produce great sound.  We walked here on Christmas Eve, 3 blocks from our house, in the snow.  Upon discovering that the Nativity Pageant was open to any and all who wanted a part, Ainsley demanded "Sit up here! Ainsley sit?" So, to her parents wondering eyes, she climbed up the steps with a little stuffed sheep and participated in the play.  Independently. Our little actress!

Baking Cookies

A big endeavor for a kitchen-challenged momma. :)

Thank you, Grandma Helen, your amazing recipe lives on!!!

Ice Exhibit

A nearby convention center hosted "ICE!" - a freezing wonderland created with 2 million pounds of ice. There was an ice bridge to walk over, and an ice slide to go down! Ainsley loved the big ice Santa and all of the amazing characters. It was quite a production, commissioned to be built by artists who annually create a life-sized ice city in Harbin, China where temps stay below freezing for much of the winter.
