Hanging out with friends.
My, their kids have grown since we were last living in DC!

We took advantage of the bipolar weather (snowy 5 days earlier, a balmy 75 degrees on this day) and walked through nearby Eastern Market.
Local painters, photographers, candle-makers, jewelers, and furniture designers hawk their wares. Under the large tent (not pictured) are butchers, bakers, cheese artisans, and produce stands run by folks who've been selling at the market for over 30 years! The famous artist 'Kessler' got started here and you can still see him today under his awning on Saturdays. After a commission with the White House, he is now known around the world and you can even find his prints at Target. The Market Lunch boasts the best crabcakes around.
~ all this... a mere 30 paces from our doorstep! We love DC!
