Nana gave Ains this 'hush little baby' fabric fold-out book, which we mounted on the wall in her room. She loves taking out the animals and shaking the ones that rattle as I sing the song.
Thanks Nana!
It's getting good use!
The lightning bugs have arrived, flashing their little neon butts, hovering like hummingbirds in the muggy air. The brief, but intense storms that rage through during these hot summer months are incredible. Today Ainsley and I were driving home in beautiful 88 degree sunshine. We noticed people walking by, staring up at the bank of black clouds rolling in. We disappeared into traffic under a tunnel, only to emerge in penny-sized hail and gale-force winds a few minutes later.
