Christmas Eve 2009

This amazing church was the first Episcopal Church to be built in DC in the year 1794.  It's a beautiful historic building with old stained glass and small wooden pews.  The walls are a soft pink, and there is an old pull-bell that is rung before each service.  The large organ pipes are built into the building itself, and produce great sound.  We walked here on Christmas Eve, 3 blocks from our house, in the snow.  Upon discovering that the Nativity Pageant was open to any and all who wanted a part, Ainsley demanded "Sit up here! Ainsley sit?" So, to her parents wondering eyes, she climbed up the steps with a little stuffed sheep and participated in the play.  Independently. Our little actress!
