Sunday Snapshot

I got the idea for a 'Sunday Snapshot' blog posting after talking with our good friend, Brian, when he was here visiting from Seattle.  He was telling tales of his precocious and adorable 4 year old daughter.  My favorite parts of our conversation were when he told 'snapshots' of her life.  Moments captured in a few words - that made me really feel like I was there. These 'snapshots' gave me a deeper sense of what his family life is like and who his daughter is growing up to be.  

Without further ado -- our 'Sunday Snapshot' entry for the week:




Jasper scooped up Ainsley and headed the 5 or 6 steps it takes to get to the kitchen.  Without missing a beat, Ainsley queried,  

"Where goin', daddy? Where goin'?"  (ummmm... the kitchen.)

Too proud of her new mastery of the English Language, Ainsley finds every opportunity to try out her new favorite phrases.  1. (see above)   2. "What r doin', mommy?  What r doin'?"  I guess seeing her mommy dig holes in the dirt and stuffing flowers in there didn't quite match her concept of how things should work.  She promptly grabbed a handful of soil and sprinkled it on top of each and every freshly planted flower (photos coming).
