Ains chose this for jas at the store - then promptly took it as her own.
True to the 'Birthday Curse' that Jasper has endured his entire life... the day wouldn't be complete without at least one mishap. The CAKE that I has so carefully pre-ordered from a local pastry shop turned out not to be a cake at all. We didn't look at it until well into the family party - until cake time, to be exact. This vid explains.... (and the following pic is the stand-in birthday candle, since we didn't have a cake.)
The next day - we returned the pie and were given our carrot cake (first picture in post). After a civilized first piece on a plate, Ains and Jas went for it:
(She's a 'MacSlarrow' through and through - she and Jas polished off the entire cake!)
