An hour's drive - and we feel far from the city. We have driven past mansion after 8-million-dollar mansion ... and arrived at Homestead Farm. This farm has been owned and operated by the same family since the mid 1700's. Nearly 800 acres were purchased by them (down to 230 today). Beautiful place!
First stop: visit the animals, of course!

We walked down a looooong path to the apple orchards. Ains was DELIGHTED to discover that apples really do grow on trees. She picked sooo many! I will be baking for weeks!

Time for a hayride far across the acreage to the pumpkin patch! (one of several, it looked like)

Silly Daddy....
My goodness, that little girl must be always happy, I never see a pic without a huge, beautiful smile on her face! Wonderful fall memories:)
ReplyDeleteLove the sour picture. :) (By the way, my Tulip STARED at Ainsley's school picture for at least a solid 15 minutes today and asked with all sweet sincerity if perhaps I could buy a plane ticket just for HER to go see Ains? Cute, huh?
ReplyDeleteThe pic of you and her is priceless. She looks just so very happy. So do you. :)
Wonderful!!! We have been trying to make a date out of going to (one of) our local farm(s) but haven't had the chance! Can't wait to hear about the yummy goodies you make with the apples and to see Ains carved up pumpkin!!!
ReplyDeleteSo many adorable photos, we simply cannot wait to come see you! I must agree with Mom that she must never be unhappy!!!
